Genevieve Leitner at Loretto Chapel on Nov.14 - October 6, 2010

Genevieve Leitner will present a solo guitar concert on November 14th, 2010 at 6:00PM at Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, NM. Her program will include music which spans five centuries. Genevieve is a graduate of University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and a winner of several competitions. She has a captivating style, and her performances are always a pleasure to hear. Admission by donation, suggested $20.

Duo Guadalupe Concert July 10, 2010 - May 22, 2010

"Santa Cecilia Music Studio" - May 10, 2010

The music studio in Santa Fe , 621 Old Santa Fe Trail, is open and ready for students.

We still have openings for a few students, and are offering individual as well as small group lessons. Come have an introductory lesson and sign up now for summer lessons!

We welcome all ages, and will work out a plan to fit your budget and style.


Cecilia Leitner, will be singing as soprano soloist with the SANTA FE COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA AT 7PM FRIDAY APRIL 23, 2010 at St. Francis Cathedral Basilica in Santa Fe. The "Creation" by Haydn will be sung in English, with choir and Soprano, Tenor, and Baritone soloists.

This will be Cecilia's first performance in NM since she received her Master's Degree in Vocal Performance from Yale University last May. I hope you can come if you are in Santa Fe or nearby! It's free, so come on time!

Dear friends, fellow musicians, and prospective students,

We write to inform you of our new music studio in downtown Santa Fe. We are offering lessons in voice, violin, sight-reading, musicianship skills, and chamber music coaching. Our teachers are professional performers with solid education and experience and a desire to help music flourish in New Mexico. Sign up for violin classes at Northern New Mexico Community College, taking place again this semester! We had a fun and successful first semester, and would love you to join us. All levels are welcome. Classes start Jan. 19.

Summer Writer Series - a short concert and book-reading - for SOMOS - Society of the Muse of the Southwest. Before we play, RICK COLLIGNON (novelist) will read from the new novel in his popular Guadalupe series, Madewell Brown (Random House/Unbridled Books). Then RENEE GREGORIO (poet, cofounder Tres Chicas Books) will read from new poetry collection Drenched.

Cecilia's Recital at Yale - January 19, 2009

Cecilia Leitner will be performing her second year graduate recital on January 23, 2009 at 5:00 PM at Sprague Hall on the campus of Yale University.
The concert will include music of Vivaldi, Monteclair, Turina, and Wolf.

Violin and Ensemble Classes at NNMC - November 3, 2008

I've been teaching violin class at Northern New Mexico College in Espanola this fall.
Spring semester will include more classes, including violin class, Applied Music/Violin (private lessons), Jazz violin, and Ensemble.

New Classes at NNMC - September 26, 2008

I will be teaching ensemble classes at Northern New Mexico College next semester, as well as more violin classes. But the classes will only take place if enough students register. Come and play music, have fun and get college credit! Let your friends and family know!

Chamber music coaching, or Ensemble class - September 4, 2008

In addition to my violin class, I'm trying to get an ensemble class for next term at NNMC, so PLEASE, if you're interested in having fun playing with others and learning ensemble, keep an eye out for it, and SIGN UP!

Violin classes at NNMC - September 4, 2008

Fall term violin class started at Northern New Mexico Community College. It is a class in basics of technique, with individual attention.
This was a last minute hire, so it may not be possible to join the class at this point, but if you're interested, try for the next term!

Abiquiu concerts - June 16, 2008

Here is a letter about a new concert series in Abiquiu. I'll be performing Telemann solo Fantasias, and Mozart and Beethoven sonatas with Edwin Light, pianist, on July 6th. Come if you can!

Dear Abiquiu Friends and Friends of Abiquiu,

I'm pleased to announce the Inaugural season of the Abiquiu Chamber Music series, June 22 - August 31. This will be held six Sundays at 2 p.m., providing interesting and quality classical performances by artists from NM, AZ, and NYC. The concerts will be held in a magnificent open-air setting overlooking the Rio Chama (see attachment) here at my home and performance space in Abiquiu.

Admission is $12 per concert; or purchase the entire series for only $60. Children are free with an adult ticket. All tickets must be purchased in advance, either through reservations at or directly from The Tin Moon Gallery or Maya Art Cafe. Cash or Check only, please. Tickets will be available for reservation beginning June 3rd. Seating is limited to 50 per event.

For those wanting to linger afterwards, Maya Art Cafe will be providing a catered, elegant prix fixe post-concert dinner, 4:30 - 6:30. Advance reservations are needed for that by WEDNESDAY prior to any of the Sunday concerts. Those dinner reservations may be made directly at 505.685.4942.

"Enchantment Chamber Music" Series at Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe on Sunday June 8th, 2008 features chamber music for violin and guitar performed by Ellen Leitner, and Roberto Capocchi, "Duo Guadalupe". On the program is the Grand Sonata, Op. 25, by the 19th century guitar virtuoso Mauro Giuliani, “Danza de los Amantes Efimeros” by contemporary composer Francisco Gonzalez, and well-loved tangos by 20th century Argentinian composer Astor Piazzola. Enchantment Chamber Music Mother's Day Concert - - April 21, 2008

Luigi Boccherini's "Fandango" guitar quintet, Franz Josef Haydn's guitar quartet in D, and a trio by Niccolo Paganini will be featured on Mother's Day at Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe.
